St. John’s Medical College Hospital, Bangalore

St. John’s Medical College Hospital initiated the Home Isolation Care Initiative for asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic COVID-19 patients on September 01, 2020. The Division of Medical Informatics at St. John’s Research Institute evaluated several cloud hosted healthcare-as-a- service (HaaS) platforms and selected Ubiqare’s Health Pvt Ltd’s platform based on features and ease of use, to deliver high quality clinical care to patients who were found suitable for home isolation. The telemedicine platform was customized to meet the needs of the physicians and nurses based on the guidelines specified by the BBMP and Govt. of Karnataka and has been user friendly for the patients and caregivers. Till date over 50 COVID-19 patients have been triaged using the platform and about 35 patients have been successfully onboarded and monitored daily by experienced nurses, physicians, specialists, and support staff.
